Sorate’s SoHo Teahouse, located at 103 Sullivan St, specializes in traditional matcha preparation, along with more trending options like matcha coconut water, matcha salted maple cold foam, and matcha affogato. They also have some sweet and savory bites to choose from.
It’s quite popular, but not just a tourist or novelty destination. During our visit, regular after regular stopped by for their beverage, with the barista often anticipating their order. There was a lovely sense of community, with some streaming in for to-go orders and others opting to stay at either the indoor bar seating or covered outdoor seating nooks.
Their menu was expansive, and we loved that they used Elmhurst for their non-dairy milks (almond and oat).
